I just wanted to say thank you for a great job! Your customer service was only exceeded by your quality of work. I had several other contractors look at my projects and gave me prices. But none of them had the knowledge that Rick did and his honesty was a breath of fresh air. They did a great job and the new swales work perfectly, redirecting the water across our property. I highly recommend Rick and Shaun. You will not be disappointed!
I have a horse farm and I had lots of problem areas in and around my barns and pastures where water would stand and accumulate. Machinery and horses would then cross these areas and turned everything into a sea of mud. What a nasty mess! The muddy tractors carried mud into the barns and muddy horses created health issues. I had put down some gravel but that did little to solve my problems. I had Rick Peterson look at the areas and he made several suggestions. He told me that it was not enough to just put out gravel. He talked to me about how we should contour and re-shape the land to carry the waters away, where to use drainage pipes and where to install gravel. I hired Peterson Grading. They were wonderful in using the land to make the waters run to the drainage areas and away from my barns and pastures. They put down gravel in certain areas to make sure it stayed dry. Now I am virtually mud-free. Both myself and my horses love it! To show you how much effort Peterson Grading puts into their product, after they had finished the job, after I paid them and after they had removed their equipment from the site, there was still one small area that was not working well. Even though the fault was not theirs, Peterson Grading brought their equipment and employees back and fixed the problem at no cost to me. Who else would have done that? No one! I will use Peterson Grading for all of my future work. You should, too.
We hired Peterson Grading to clear and grade our property and install a pad for the construction of our new home. The experience with them was fantastic from the first conversation through the end of the project. Both Rick and Shaun were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the site-prep process for new construction, and their honesty and transparency regarding costs and conditions was refreshing to see. Not only was their work and skill impeccable, their ability to provide prompt on-site solutions to working with the unique sub-grade conditions at our property ultimately saved us thousands of dollars. They were 100% professional and were very respectful of our requests for the work being done at the property, while also providing great advice and suggestions of their own (since this experience was unfamiliar to us)! By the end of the project it was as if we were working with and conversing with family. Peterson Grading will be our first call for any future projects where their expertise is needed!

Peterson Grading did a wonderful job completing several grading and drainage projects for me. They were able to come out promptly and provide an accurate quote along with providing expert advice on how to best resolve some drainage and mud issues that I was having in my cow lot. They arrived first thing in the morning and were extremely well organized. They brought everything that they needed and had the rest delivered, as it was needed. Their crew worked hard and almost non-stop. They stayed until all of the projects were completed that evening. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I had Peterson Grading clear some land for me to install a 2400 sq. ft. building. The land was extremely hilly and very rugged. When Rick finished it was a total transformation. It is perfectly level, packed down tightly and ready to build on with a slight elevation around the building location for water run-off. I am very pleased with his work and every one that worked on the project to make it turn out just right. When Rick does it, he does it right. I knew this from past experience with him. I own a 9000 sq. ft. office and warehouse that he did the grading on 25 years ago. At that time I had Rick to come in and straighten out the mess the first grading company left me with. He did a great job then and is doing even better today with the years of experience and modern equipment he uses. I highly recommend Peterson Grading for any grading project large or small.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent job you did for us on our ditching project. We had contacted several contractors on fixing an erosion and flow problem our HOA had with a drainage area that ran through the development. The problem area was full of brush and also had three trees that were leaning into the drainage area contributing to the problem. After hearing from some of the contractors say it would take a week or more to complete the job we contacted Rick. We gave Rick the nod and very pleased with his work. Early and worked all day. Very pleased to work with someone that calls back, arrives when they say they will and very happy with the results. I will call Rick again if we need more work done in the future.

We had a great experience with Peterson Grading. From the original appointment, to the final day of the job completion. Your staff was on time, efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and very professional! Rick never had any hidden fees and was always up front on everything! We are very pleased with everything you've done for us! Thank you for all your help and hope to do more work with you in the future.
I called Peterson Grading when I had an issue with my yard where it was uneven. This was causing water to pool in the lawn after raining and taking days to dry. Rick came out to my house two different times to talk about my problem. I was impressed that he took time out of this day to come out twice and talk to me. He made me feel that my problem was just as important to him as it was to me. Rick and his crew came out a week later and regraded my yard. There were professional and got the job done on time and budget. I was very happy with the outcome of the job.
I have had the pleasure of working with Peterson Grading L.L.C. for more than 13 years. Rick Peterson is both honest and dependable; when he agrees on a start date he will always make that date. On many occasions Rick Peterson has been able to salvage lots that others considered to be un-buildable. Our most recent need for his services occurred a couple of months ago when our General Contractor had refused 6 lots at our Arbor Glen Development. Arbor Glen is a small subdivision of 47 single family lots and losing 6 lots would have made a huge impact on the bottom line. Rick arrived for a site meeting and explained to all exactly what would have to be done to make the lots usable. On some lots elevations were lowered, others were raised, large rocks were removed from 2 of the lots, building pads were re-compacted and necessary retaining walls were installed. Rick stands behind his work and will come back if it is not right. In 13 years and too many jobs to recall, I have never had to call him back.

During the spring of 2006, Copart Inc. contracted Peterson Grading to perform the necessary services for an 11 acre expansion project to our auction facility in China Grove, NC. Peterson Grading had done a prior expansion of this facility as well as a major maintenance project a year earlier. The decision to retain their services for this project was based heavily on past performance. I highly recommend Peterson Grading. They completed a large capital project for Copart lnc, on time and on budget. There were no problems. There were only weather related stoppages. The work was professionally completed by a professional contractor. I will consider Peterson Grading for any future projects at our China Grove. NC facility.

On behalf of the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) I would like to express our appreciation for the professionalism and safety awareness you and your staff exhibited in the removal and disposal of more than 25,000 cubic yards of ash from one of Rocky River Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant's (RRRWWTP) 30,000 cubic foot capacity holding ponds. The timely and efficient manner with which this project was conducted is a credit to your company' s professionalism. The timely manner in which the project was completed is another aspect that deserves mention. The project, estimated to take four weeks to complete from the time the purchase order was issued, was completed in less than three. The turnaround time was critical due to the fact that WSACC was unsure of the amount of time before RRRWWTP's second pond would be full. The follow-up grading and seeding was also done in a very timely manner.

You did an incredible job on the grounds. The Prosperity family, Elders and Deacons sincerely thank you for properly grading the land, replacing the sidewalks, graveling the driveway and paving the parking area. You did an incredible job on the grounds around the Prosperity Church GYM.
